Grapes Teroldego

Area Mountain vineyards in Trentino, Piana Rotaliana

Soil Alluvial, with great surface fertility and excellent underlying drainage.

Service temperature 18-20C

Vinification The grapes are harvested manually, selectively, and vinified in red. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins for 8-15 days, at a controlled temperature of 26/28°C. Subsequently the wine ages in steel and a small part in barrique. Further refinement in the bottle follows for a few months.

 

Visual exam Deep ruby red color.

Olfactory exam The nose is intense, and fruity, with hints of raspberries and currants, broad and fine.

Taste exam The flavor is dry, decisive, fruity, and with soft tannins.

 

Pairings It is an ideal wine to accompany typical rich and tasty Trentino dishes, as well as full-bodied first courses (lasagne, pasta ragù, risotto), lamb, game (deer, chamois), beef, cured meats, medium or aged cheeses.
