In 2020, we faced climatic challenges, with winter temperatures higher than average and a spring start that was rainy followed by an unexpected warm period. The vines sprouted later but benefited from elevated temperatures, accelerating growth. Despite prolonged rains in May and June, timely interventions managed fungal diseases.
The 2020 harvest was influenced by intense precipitation, making the precise timing crucial to obtaining healthy grapes. Yield management balanced the harvest, ensuring more than satisfactory quality. Overall results are positive, with white wines being less structured but fresher. Among reds, Pinot Noir and Lagrein achieved great results. Yields decreased compared to 2019, in line with the deliberate reduction to address grape diseases.
