Grapes Gewürztraminer

Area Terraced mountain vineyards in Trentino, Valle di Cembra

Soil Porphyritic and calcareous

Service temperature 10-12°C

Vinification The grapes are harvested manually and selectively towards the second half of September. Fermentation at a controlled temperature and aging for a few months take place in stainless steel tanks. Further refinement in the bottle follows for a few months.

 

Visual exam Golden straw yellow color.

Olfactory exam The nose has intense floral and fruity scents of great complexity and elegance.

Taste exam The taste is very balanced, not particularly sweet but dry as representative of the production area, soft, and very persistent.

 

Pairings Ideal as an aperitif, in combination with various appetizers or canapés, stuffed with tasty cheeses. It also goes well with goose liver pate or raw fish. Ideal with shellfish, asparagus, and spicy first courses.
